NatureSource Natural Angus Beef
Just in time for barbecue season (which for some of us is most of the year anyway) we’re introducing a new line of all-natural, Midwestern plains-raised beef that’s tasty, tender and economical.
Up until now, our Meat Departments have carried only USDA Certified Prime Beef, the highest grade available … and the most costly. In recognizing the changing needs of our customers, we decided to search for a second line of beef that was graded USDA Top Choice (the next best grade). More affordable, but without compromise in quality or purity of product.
NatureSource Angus Beef is humanely handled by select ranches that follow strictly monitored open-range practices. Cattle are fed a 100% vegetarian diet. Beginning on the ranch, cattle graze on open pastures until the crucial 120 day finishing period, where they receive a specially formulated corn-based diet, free of any animal by-products, chemicals, pesticides or artificial additives.
No growth hormones or antibiotics are used EVER during the raising of NatureSource Beef. All cattle is certified U.S. bred Angus and humane, stress-free handling practices are followed throughout the animal’s life. NatureSource frequently audits its ranches to ensure that all of these handling and dietary policies are stringently followed. The result is beef with excellent marbling, tender texture and rich meaty flavor, amazingly close to Prime.
As always, our butchers do all the cutting in-house, so you are guaranteed the freshest most beautifully trimmed steaks available. And we do continue to carry both USDA Prime and our immensely popular 28 Day Dry Aged Prime at all stores, as well as our full selection of all-natural meats and poultry.
